Giving Back To The Community This Weekend!

This weekend, Active Red will be giving back to the community on both Saturday and Sunday! Read on for more details of what we will be doing and where we will be!

1. Date: 23 July 2011, Saturday
Time: 11.00am – 4.00pm
Event: Kg Chai Chee Blood Donation Drive cum Active Agers Healthy Lifestyle Day
Venue: Open space between Bedok NTUC located at Blk 212 and the shophouses at Blk 208

We will be showcasing our flagship Active Kickboxing Fitness – but specially tailored for Seniors. So do come down, watch our demo, enjoy free tryouts, and receive Active goodies!

2. Date: 24 July 2011, Sunday
Time: 7.30am
Event: Bishan CC Healthy Lifestyle Day
Venue: Courtyard at Bishan CC

An Active Trainer will be leading the attendees in an energetic Cardio Kickbox warm up to Kick off this Healthy Lifestyle event.

For those who have heard of Active Red, but have never met us, you are warmly invited to attend these events to find out more about us and about our Active Kickboxing Programmes. The Active Team will be there and we will be more than happy to respond to your queries.

HYPEd Up! Flea Market!

Hello everyone!

Don't we all love flea markets? There's going to be one held on 31 July at *SCAPE and Active Red is more than happy to be a sponsor of the HYPEd Up! flea market organised by m:idea, a youth-run media conglomerate in the School of Film & Media Studies in Ngee Ann Polytechnic!

The spirit of Kampong Chai Chee – Huat Ah! (To have growth/abundance in Hokkien)

Hello everyone!

Trust you had a great weekend!

Well, the Active Team had a fruitful weekend – we learned the Spirit of Kampong Chai Chee!

Special thanks to the Chiropractic Association Singapore for spear-heading this community event and for inviting Active Red to be part of this event.

It was a health talk specially put together for the Active Ager – in fact 150 of them turned up for this event!

They had their spine health checked, learned about proper posture, the benefit of regular exercise, and how to strengthen bones by consuming the right type of high calcuim foods!

Special thanks to Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State for National Development, and Trade & Industry for taking time off his busy schedule to grace this event.

More importantly for sharing with us and teaching us the spirit of Kampong Chai Chee – Huat Ah! Abundance for all!

In case, some of you missed our community events, we have a few events lined up in July 2011! There will be Active Kickboxing demos – show and tell; and of course you get to try out on stage if you are in the audience! For all you know, you might just walk away with some Active Red souveniors!

In other events, our Active Trainer will also be leading you in a short warm-up exercise sessions for you before you start your community walks!

Active Red is the Singapore Representative for the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO)

Hello everyone!

Have you seen the logo above or heard about WAKO? Read on to find out a bit more about WAKO and us!

In recognition of our efforts in 2010, Jason and Active Red are honoured to be re-appointed as the official Singapore Representative for World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) – the sole governing body for Kickboxing sport in the world.

As the official representative, our aim is to introduce and promote:

1. Non-combative Kickboxing Fitness workouts as a safe, effective weight loss and fitness programme for almost anyone – and one that will help you achieve your fitness goals in the shortest time possible.
2. Kickboxing Sports in:

• Tatami Sports as a new sport in schools – competitions which are similar in nature to the ones organised in Taekwondo and Karate.
• Ring Sports for those who seek physical challenges and push their fitness limits – in the likes of boxing or Muay Thai competitions.

We will also run internationally-accredited WAKO Kickboxing Fitness Trainer courses in Singapore.
So, do expect loads of activities, events and workshops/seminars coming to you this year!

Another Community event with Active Red – Spinal Health Talk for the Active Ager @ Kampong Chai Chee CC

Hello everyone!

Its been an exciting week – lots of happenings here at Active Red!

Having sponsored complimentary passes to Active Kickboxing Programmes at the Great Eastern Women 10K, to our community effort working with the Youth of Trinity Community Center and with the launch of Active Red’s GSS Promotions, this weekend, we’ll be working with the Active Ager (50 Plus)!

We are honoured to be part of another community project – this time working with the Active Agers at Kampong Chai Chee CC this Saturday, 9 July 2011!

There will be many activities – Spinal Screening by Chiropractors of the Singapore Chiropractic Association, Cooking Demo by Derrick Ong of Eat Right (our valued partner in nutrition consulation), and of course, the trainers at Active Red will be on hand to lead the Active Agers through a Active Ageing Fitness Exericse Session!
