Congratulations Derrick on you appointment as leader of the Nutrition Ambassador team Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010!

We are pleased to announce that our valued partner - Derrick Ong, Founder of Eat Right,  Nutrition Consultancy has been appointed  by the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) as the leader of the Nutrition Ambassador team. These Nutrition Ambassadors are current Applied Food Science and Nutrition diploma students of  Temasek Polytechnic - 16 in total, who will be stationed on-site at the Main Dining Hall of the Youth Olympic Village at NTU-NIE during the course of the games. Their role would be to provide sports nutrition advice to the athletes to ensure that they make appropriate food choices prior to competition and for post-event recovery. As team leader, Derrick has been tasked to manage and motivate this team of volunteers - ensuring that the correct nutritional advice is given, as well as handling or re-directing queries from team officials, coaches and nutritionists regarding the food being served in the dining halls.
